Video Clip Project

The following video is the best video clip made by my students in Yos Sudarso Senior High School, Batam. The main goal of this project is to improve their speaking skill specifically in describing the song by making the video clip. They learned to speak in English during the preparation, presentation, and discussion after watching the video clip together. 

"Just the Way You Are" by Bruno Mars was chosen by my students, Munich, Alfrecha, Alvin, Ray Evan, Nanta, Andrew, and Gavin to make a video clip project. Besides the easy listening and danceable song by Bruno Mars, my students could describe it well in their video clip. The video clip is unique, interesting and different compare to other groups' video clip. Good Job Guys!!! Keeps your creativity and spirit to learn and produce something for a better and meaningful life... 

TV Advertising

TV ADVERTISING VIDEO PROJECT

The following video is the best advertising video made by my students in Yos Sudarso Senior High School, Batam. The main goal of this project is to improve their speaking skill specifically in introducing their product and how to persuade people to buy the product. 

The students discussed what product they were going to advertise. Then, they were asked to discuss what made their product special and different from the other products. I was happy when I could see my students were excited to discuss, think, and work together to do this project. 

The only problem was that it was still difficult to encourage them to speak in English while they were working and making this video. I still need to remind them to speak in English :) but at least they were motivated to make this video and they tried to speak in English. Before they made their video, each group did a presentation in front of class telling their plan. By doing this activity, their presentation skill will be improved. Moreover, there is always question and answer session at the end of their presentation. Therefore, they also learn to express their opinion, think critically, and they learn to accept suggestion and/or defend their plan. 

After they finished making their project, we watched their videos together in class and did a discussion on what makes this video good and/or what makes this video less good as well as how to make this video better. Congratulation Kevin TB, Febiyanto, Anggun, Oktacaesarika, Anita, Jesen Teo, and Yosep. You did a good job!
